Hadron Recording Device
Jobe science teams working in Scheol recently discovered this mysterious mineral compound. Found only in the Shadowlands, it has very unique sub-atomic properties that allow it to capture a permanent record of all energy that passes through it.All sound, light, electromagnetic, gravitational or even psychic waves that come into contact with this substance create a perfect record of themselves within the sub-atomic structures of the compound itself. The information becomes encoded within the protons and neutrons that are found in the minerals' atoms. In effect, this mineral records anything that it comes into contact with. Jobe research has managed to create technology that can read this material and reveal the saved information for further study. In addition, the fact that the mineral has no obviously distinguishing features makes it the perfect listening device, as it would appear to the untrained eye to simply be a lump of rock. There is however one significant drawback. Despite a decent sized sample having billions of possible protons and neutrons on which to store information, it does not seem to be able to 'overwrite' this data. Thus examples found now have limited storage capacity remaining.
